Description:
Become a steward of a local stream and learn about local ecology and environmental issues!Join us in removing trash from the Stanley Reach! It is crucial to remove debris made by people from our urban streams after the spring rains. If the debris is left in the channel over the summer it poses a risk to local wildlife and creates a mess when the rainy season starts in the fall. Any debris left in the creek will eventually make its way in the San Francisco Bay, affecting the health of the ocean.Bring your friends, family and a refillable water bottle. Tools, water and snacks will be provided. Waivers can be found at: http://livingarroyos.org/get-involved/.We will also have waivers available at the event, just in case. Volunteers under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.
